Student Ministries Update

May 21st - Meet at the church by 6:00 p.m. for an “On Location” bible study at Walnut Woods Park. There will be eats and a great bible study!

May 28th - “Revolution” at Saylorville Baptist Church. This is a great gospel outreach event! We will leave the church by 6:00 p.m. and return by 9:00 p.m. An event you won’t want to miss!

DMA Outing

Attention DMA! On Thursday, May 29th we will be having a BBQ and fantastic video, “Embrace Grace” by Liz Curtis Higgs. You don’t want to miss out on this incredible time of food for the body and the soul. Sign up in the foyer to bring a side dish or dessert.

Marilyn Jensen Memorial Service

A memorial service for Marilyn Jensen will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 11:00 am. Please join us as we celebrate her uniting with Christ.

For the past month or so we have not been able to syndicate our podcast. The Weekly and The Blog are still working fine. If you subscribe to the podcast we are sure you have noticed. Nursery Workers

Are you running for President…or you would like to? We have lots of beautiful babies to hold and cuddle. We are needing help in this vital ministry. Please fill out the bulletin insert if you would be willing to serve in this area, and drop into the offering plate. If you are currently on the list, we ask that you fill out the form too, for we need to update the entire schedule. We will try to accommodate everybody’s schedule.

What: Welcome To Summer Party!
When: Saturday, May 24th (Memorial Day Weekend) at 4:00 pm
Where: Matt & Leslie’s house at 6701 River Bend Drive, Johnston, IA

Activities will include outdoor games (baggo, frisbee, catch, a water balloon toss, and a swingset and sandbox for the kids) and indoor games (pool, foosball, and darts).

We will be grilling to eat around 5-5:30. We will supply the hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, buns, and drinks.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO —-

2. Bring with you: lawn chairs, ball gloves, balls, frisbees, or whatever you like to play with outside!

Ruby Hol

Pastor Trent and Lydia Hol found out Wednesday April 16th that their 6 month old baby girl, Ruby, has Neuroblastoma –a type of cancer. Please pray for them! They will be learning more each day. There is a group dedicated on Facebook named Praying for Ruby that will contain the most recent information. If you don’t have a facebook account follow the link and you can sign up for one. Also, there is a caring bridge site created for Ruby that will contain updates as well. Thank you for your prayers.

Prayer and Praise Services

Come join us for some great vittles before we load up the coach and head on over to take a gander at the play…Wagon Wheels West on Wednesday, April 30th.
