Mike Augsburger

Mike-n-Liz-web Mike grew up in a pastor’s home in Denver Colorado. He felt God’s call to pastoral ministry at an early age. After high school, he attended Bible College and Seminary, where he met his wife Liz, who was a Des Moines native. They have been married since 2002, and served together at a church in Waterloo for close to seven years. In the summer of 2008, God called Mike and Liz to the lead pastorate position at Willow Creek. He and Liz are excited about what God is doing at The Creek, and look forward to many fruitful years of service together.

Cody Crigger

Cody-n-Londa-web Cody grew up in Creston, Iowa and accepted Christ’s payment on the cross for his sins as a young child. He went to Bible College to study Bible and Music and met his wife, Londa. He knew that God wanted him to serve the church with his life. After graduating from Faith in 2000, he came on staff at Willow Creek in 2002. Cody is passionate to see people take to heart the truths of Scripture and respond to those truths with song. Both Cody and Londa couldn’t be more excited with the great group of people they are able to help lead and look forward to many years serving at The Creek.

Trent Hol

Trent-n-Lydia-web Trent grew up in Oskaloosa, Iowa. After graduating from high school, he went on to pursue his education at a Bible College where he was a student for two years. In the year, 2000 Trent married his college sweetheart, Lydia, from Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Trent and Lydia stayed in Des Moines and attended Willow Creek Baptist Church. Trent went on to further his education and received a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling in 2005. Later that year, Trent accepted a call from Willow Creek Baptist Church to be their Student Ministries Pastor. Trent has a desire to see students choose Christ as their deepest treasure as they live passionately for Him. Trent and Lydia look forward to future years of ministry together and serving at Willow Creek.

Zach Dietrich

Zach grew up in Williamsburg, Iowa. He went to Bible College where he majored in Biblical Studies. After college Zach married Leah (Carroll, Iowa) and worked for several years in banking. During that time Zach’s burden for ministry grew, so he went to seminary and has recently completed his coursework for his M.Div. Zach serves as pastor of teaching at Willow Creek where he assists with the Acts 2:42 Community Groups and Willow Creek University, the midweek adult education program. Zach and Leah are humbled to be a part of ministry at Willow Creek and are passionate to see others knowing and loving God by learning God’s Word.

Nick Bal

Nick was born and raised in Ames, Iowa. After high school, he attended Iowa State University, where he also met his wife, Carol. Nick worked at Drake University where he received his Masters degree and where he also developed a heart to reach out to college students with the gospel. He eventually went on to serve as a missionary to college students for over 10 years. Recently, Nick and his family were led to Willow Creek Baptist Church where he currently serves as Pastor of Discipleship. Nick is also currently pursuing a Master of Religion degree at Faith Baptist Theological Seminary. Nick and Carol have two daughters, Ava and Amelia, and his whole family is thrilled to be a part of the work God is doing in and through Willow Creek.
